Secure CVCs Without Suturing
Suturing central venous catheters (CVCs) is a widely used and effective way of securement but can come with great risks, such as infection and needle stick injuries.
An article from The Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology reports that needle stick injuries pose a significant injury to healthcare providers, with 25-39 injuries per 100,000 sutures used. It is estimated that 95% of needle stick injuries go unreported, allowing the possibility for a greater number of injuries.¹
Grip-Lok® from TIDI® Products is a portfolio of versatile adhesive-based devices that promotes patient comfort and secures a variety of tubes, lines, and catheters.
The Grip-Lok® 3601CVC for PICC and CVC securement provides an adhesive area that will stick to a wide range of hubs and helps against accidental line pulls. The larger, offset footprint of the 3601CVC is designed to specifically combat the challenges faced with jugular CVC placement. Grip-Lok® contains large peel-away liners for ease of application and uses hook and loop to allow access to the catheter hub at any time.
