The Pediatric PAP Therapy Mask Used by 8 of the Top 10 U.S. Children’s Hospitals
RSV, as well as other respiratory viruses, continue to soar in the pediatric population, causing hospitals to experience bed shortages and supply chain issues.
“Many of our hospitals are bracing for what is to come since the RSV peak is typically between December and mid-February,” said MED Alliance Group President Mike Schroeder. “Fortunately, we are well-positioned, at this time, to be a solution as hospitals experience shortages in the pediatric PAP therapy masks used to treat these life-threatening conditions.”
MED Alliance Group and its Solutions in Critical Care partners introduced Artemis® Pedi-Fit® Non-Invasive Pediatric Nasal and Full-Face Masks in 2019. Since then, hospitals across the country have adopted Pedi-Fit. In fact, eight of the top 10 U.S. Children’s Hospitals use Pedi-Fit.
“Clinicians love it,” said Solutions in Critical Care Founder and CEO John Marmo. “With the two designs and multiple sizing options, clinicians can ensure a proper mask fit… which means comfort, which means the kids are more likely to tolerate the mask and get the therapy they need.”
The Ped-Fit’s soft, molded silicone material and flexible forehead pad ensure excellent seal and comfort during CPAP and VPAP therapy. A unique clip pivots the mask to conform to the patient’s nose, preventing air from leaking into the eyes.
“We’ve ramped up our supply to meet demand,” said Marmo. “We are confident once a hospital uses this mask for their pediatric patients, they will understand why so many of the country’s top Children’s Hospitals have converted to the Pedi-Fit.”
“We are dedicated to providing our clinical customers with what they need when they need it,” said Schroeder. “We are here to offer solutions that help clinicians provide the best patient outcomes.”
Pedi-Fit is available on Premier Contract Number PP-DS-743 and Vizient Contract Number DM0170.
